Weeks 1-6: Mi barrio y yo

Theme: My neighbourhood

Students will look at life in Colombia in depth and describe cities. They will be able to say what they and others have done in the perfect tense and describe how places have changed. They will also describe shopping preferences and talk about where they would like to live in the future. They will also talk about what you can do in your local area.

Writing assessment, in preparation for Mock 1 in November.

Weeks 7-12: Un mundo mejor para todos

Theme: My neighbourhood

Students will learn about the natural wonders of Spanish-speaking countries, talk about what they do to help in their community and what one should do to help the wider environment. They will also discuss possible solutions and climate change.

There will be a full mock exam during this period.

Weeks 13-18: El futuro te espera

Theme: Studying and my future

Students will learn about Latin American trailblazers, talk about their plans for the future and getting a job. They will discuss future career intentions, the importance of learning languages and how the world of work is changing. They will also look at the impact of AI.

Mock 2 in all four skills.
