Term 1: Notre planete

Students will lean about the environment, both locally and globally. They will practise saying numbers and percentages to understand facts and statistics and revise the imperfect tense. They will discuss school envrionmental projects and say what we can do together to protect the environment.

Grammar and vocabulary tests; working towards mock 1 in November.

Term 2: Mon petit monde a moi

Students will describe where they live, ask for and understand directions, talk about clothes shopping and their ideal home. They will also discuss visiting another town or city and practise using de (of or the genitive).

GCSE Mock 1 in all 4 skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.

Students learn about the importance of languages and begin to think practically about their future careers and aspirations.

Create a supportive community:
Students learn about the world outside of education and how speaking different languages can open doors both career-wise and socially.

Term 3: Mes projets d'avenir

Students will discuss summer plans using a variety of future tenses and discuss travelling and earning money. They will also look at different career paths and jobs.

Mock 2 in all four skills.
