Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 Sixth Form

Term 1 and 2: Coursework- Independent Prose Study

Students complete the study of The Crucible by Arthur Miller in class and use their own independent wider reading to compare with one other approved text of their choice. They will have devised their own title at the start of Year 12 which will have been approved by their teacher.

Terms 1-3: Othello

In preparation for their Drama exam, students cover the second play, Shakespeare's tragedy, Othello. They'll incorporate critical opinion, making use of an anthology and draw on the analytical skills they covered when studying their Year 12 drama text

Students will study a collection of poems by Victorian Poet Christina Rossetti, considering themes and methods used. They will also revise unseen poetry from earlier in the course.
